There are many ways to  promote your website, some of the more popular ways are, link exchanging with other websites, search engine submission, and paid advertising.  I recently tried helping a friend promote his business/website in a way I had never thought of or even tried before, promoting locally by using search engines.

By promoting your business locally online you can capture some new clients who are looking for your products/services in your very own neighborhood.  I recently helped a friend of mine submit his business info to Google and since then he has acquired a few jobs from local clients.
